Getting in touch
Email us and a person reads it. The button opens your email app; nothing uploads on its own.
We read every email and reply within two business days.

Describe the problem with made-up names and addresses. Don’t attach route files, backups or label photos unless we ask.
What helps most in a report
- Your phone model, system version, app version and chosen language.
- What happened, what you expected, and roughly when.
- Steps that reproduce the problem, if you know them. Don’t repeat something that deletes data just to reproduce it.
- If we ask: a screenshot with addresses, names, coordinates, barcodes and transfer codes covered, or on Android a diagnostics report you have reviewed (Settings → Diagnostics → Share diagnostics).
Troubleshooting
A spoken reminder didn’t play.
While parked, check that On Route is active and the instruction is still in effect; that Speak alerts is on, and the switch for that kind of instruction is on; and that route-position or distance timing is set as intended. Check media volume, Bluetooth output and the selected stop. Keep essential instructions available independently while investigating.
The map or a lookup is unavailable.
Check your connection and any message about the service. Saved route data is separate from online maps. Do not clear app storage or reinstall to fix a map problem. Free lookups come from an allowance shared by everyone on the free plan, released a day at a time, and today’s share can run out; it is topped up the next day. Lookups answered from public US address data, and positions you set at the stop, keep working.
A backup will not open or fit.
Check the password, the free space, and that you chose a backup file made in Settings → Backup & restore, not a route export. Large photos and protected originals can go over the size limit. Keep the original file; do not delete your only copy to retry.
The app closed or saved data will not open.
Do not clear app storage or reinstall: you may erase your only local data. Note the phone model, app version and what happened, using made-up examples. Share only diagnostics you have reviewed, and only if support asks; route files and tracking logs may contain sensitive data.
Questions
Is it free?
Yes. CarrierCaddy is free to download and use, with every essential route tool, no account and no ads. Plus is an optional membership with better navigation and more tools.
What Plus includes →What stays on my phone?
Saved route instructions, customer names, notes and label photos stay in the app unless you choose to share or export them. Address lookups and road paths go through our service, which passes Google or the US Census Bureau only the address or position. The map itself is Google Maps and loads straight from Google, which sees the area on screen. Our service also keeps a record for your phone, your Plus status and usage counts. No ads, trackers or analytics.
Read the Privacy Policy →Does it work without a signal?
Yes, for the route itself. Saved stops and instructions, On Route and its spoken reminders, and label reading all run on the phone. Address lookups, the road path and the map need a connection.
Which phones does it run on?
Android 8.0 or later, and iPhone with iOS 17.6 or later. Both versions share the core route workflow, and routes and encrypted backups move between them. Some tools, history fields and photo formats differ; the guide explains those limits.
Is it available outside the United States?
No. CarrierCaddy is offered only in the United States.
Does it connect to my employer’s systems?
No. CarrierCaddy is an independent, personal tool. It doesn’t connect to any employer’s systems, scanners or handhelds, and it receives nothing from them. Your employer’s rules still apply to what you keep in it and share.
Is it safe to use while driving?
Never use it while driving. Set up, scan and edit while safely parked; on the road, CarrierCaddy reads each stop’s details aloud so you don’t need to look at the screen. Spoken reminders support your attention; they don’t replace it, road signs or your employer’s rules.
Can I give a coworker my whole route?
Yes. Pair once with your coworker’s phone by comparing a code in person, then send encrypted route updates with no daily password. Or send a sealed file and give them its code separately. A complete route can include notes, hold details, forward names and other instructions. Share only with people authorized to have it; QR codes shown in person are not encrypted.
How to send a route →What does Plus include?
Plus draws your route along the real roads, with the way to your next stop lit up, and adds bigger parcel runs, your own item types, workday insights and a lookup allowance of your own. It is US$6.99 a month or US$59.99 a year. Everything essential stays free, for good: routes of any kind, instructions, spoken reminders, scanning, sharing, backups, basic Trends and address lookups from an allowance shared by everyone on the free plan.
What Plus includes →Can I restore after changing phones?
Yes. Make an encrypted backup in Settings → Backup & restore (a route export isn’t enough), then restore it on the new phone. Restoring adds your routes and tools beside anything already there. Details one phone can’t use stay safely inside the backup. Keep the password and the file until you’ve checked the result.
Backup and restore steps →Looking for how to do something rather than why it broke? The guide walks through setting up a route, working it, planning a run, and moving to a new phone.
